Kseniya Melyukhina

JO and Elite Team Ballet Instructor

My name Kseniya and I was born in a small town in northern Russia. Surprisingly, ballet was not my first choice for sport – as a child, I saw myself as the second Alina Kabaeva. I started as a rhythmic gymnast, but soon the only rhythmic gym in town got closed and my parents had to bring me to a school of ballet. I spent 14 years studying ballet with prominent ballet masters that not only taught me proper technique but also made me fall in love with this form of art.

Throughout my dance career, I have enjoyed working at multiple ballet companies in both Russia and USA and I was lucky to be part of such iconic ballets as Swan Lake, La Bayadere, Le Corsaire, Giselle, Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, and DonQuixote.

The most important lesson I have learned from my dancing career is that hard work always pays back and brings you to your dreams. Passion for dance and trust in hard work got me through many moments of self-doubt and hesitation.

I love ballet and I enjoy a lot teaching it. Rhythmic gymnastics is my childhood dream that was meant to find me years later. I am very happy to have them both in my life in such an awesome combination.
See? Hard work is paying back and dreams do come true 🙂
