When I started rhythmic gymnastics, I instantly fell in love with the sport as nothing else could beat the intense athleticism and beauty that is developed through training. I started rhythmic gymnastics at the age of 9, so I could fully see how it benefited me growing up. I couldn’t help but quickly realize that as a rhythmic gymnast, you don’t only grow in your physical ability, but you flourish mentally as well. What you learn about yourself, and the friends you make, are worth every second of work; that’s why I began coaching. I love being a coach because I get the amazing opportunity of witnessing young gymnasts hit milestones and grow as both athletes and confident individuals. When I see smiles that can only be the reward of learning something new, I cherish being a coach more and more.
